Membership: How to Join the Consortium After receiving an IAIMS award, an institution may apply for membership to the IAIMS Consortium by sending a membership request letter to the Chair of the Consortium's Board. Include with the letter a copy of the abstract of the IAIMS grant proposal or a brief summary of program objectives. Institutions that have not received an IAIMS award may also join the Consortium by including with their letter a copy of the grant proposal from a previous or an unfunded IAIMS grant. Alternatively, an IT strategic plan may be substituted for the proposal. The Consortium Board reviews applications at its annual meeting. New members are also required to become institutional members of AMIA.
